Featured Resources/Activities: The SERC recently introduced the NBS Connect patient registry. The resource contains educational materials about genetic disorders, the latest in clinical trials and research, recipes, and more, serving as a support network for individuals living with genetic disorders and their families.

Summary of Projects: SERC also has several other projects:  The Sample Exchange is a peer-to-peer anonymous sample sharing program geared at increasing knowledge of screened conditions in the region. The Nutrition Guidelines Portal provides nutrition guidelines for the management of genetic metabolic disorders, and the Medical Foods Survey works to address the gaps in legislation for coverage of medical foods (formula), modified low-protein foods, and nutraceuticals. Finally, the Diagnostic Lab Database is a resource for patients and clinicians to find diagnostic laboratory services. Additional projects and descriptions can be found on the SERC Website.
